Massimo Osti, the visionary behind C.P. Company
Massimo Osti is regarded as one of the greatest innovators in sportswear. His approach: to design clothes as functional objects, informed by textile research, military references and workwear, without ever sacrificing aesthetics. It was this philosophy that gave rise to C.P. Company and then, in 1982, to Stone Island.
Origins under the Chester Perry name
In its earliest days, in the very early 1970s, the brand was launched under the name 'Chester Perry'. It was renamed C.P. Company in the late 1970s, with its first collection under that name presented in 1978. From the outset, its attention to technical detail and quality materials won over enthusiasts looking for a distinctive aesthetic and genuine functionality.
