Recognising Genuine Supreme: An Authentication Guide
Supreme is THE hype brand — and therefore one of the most counterfeited in the world. From the Box Logo to the Stone Island and Comme des Garçons collaborations, every drop spawns its copies. Here is the method for telling the real from the fake.

Why check the authenticity of a Supreme piece?
Engineered scarcity, speculative resale: the Supreme secondary market is overrun with fake pieces, including ones 'with a receipt'. Physical inspection remains decisive.
The Box Logo and the screen prints
The authentic Box Logo respects exact proportions: an even rectangle, correct Futura Oblique, dense embroidery with straight edges (the fabric does not show through). The screen prints are thick and precise. Any approximation in font, spacing or density is a deal-breaker.
Labels, sizes and wash label
A crisp red/white neck label with a correctly placed ®, a separate size label, and wash labels that match the season (their format changes over time and can be cross-checked against official references). Consistent country of manufacture (USA, Canada, Portugal depending on the era and the piece).
Collaborations: a double check
On a Stone Island X Supreme or Supreme X CDG collab, the standards of both brands must be met: a compliant Stone Island compass badge and labels, a CDG hologram where applicable, clean cross-branded labelling. Price and seller: the warning signs
There is no such thing as a cut-price Box Logo; fake receipts are in circulation. Insist on macro photos of the labels and cross-check the model against the season's archives.
