Recognising Genuine Arte Antwerp: An Authentication Guide
A label set up in Antwerp by Bertony Da Silva, Arte Antwerp has carved out a real place on the European streetwear scene. Counterfeits remain limited but they do exist — and when buying pre-owned, it pays to know how to check. Here are the markers.
At NB08, every piece is checked and authenticated in our boutique before it goes on sale. Here are the points to check.
Why check the authenticity of an Arte Antwerp piece?
The label's growing profile attracts opportunistic copies, especially of logo pieces. The brand's European manufacturing standards make it possible to decide quickly.
Logos, embroidery and graphics

Arte logos (lettering, arty graphic motifs) are precisely embroidered or screen-printed: crisp lines, bold colours, careful placement. Sparse embroidery or a faded print does not match the label.
Inside labels
A woven Arte neck label, a composition label with country of manufacture (notably Portugal) and product code; even typography, consistent sizing. Cheap printed labels rule the piece out.
Knits and finishing
Dense, even knits (zip-up and jacquard cardigans are a signature), thick cottons, straight seams, securely sewn buttons. The structured drape of Arte pieces can be felt in the hand.
Price and seller: the warning signs
A rock-bottom price on a recent piece and generic photos: ask for real photos of the labels and logos before buying.
