Recognising Genuine Palm Angels: An Authentication Guide
Born from the meeting of Californian skate culture and Italian luxury, Palm Angels is copied on a massive scale — striped tracksuits, logo T-shirts and sweatshirts above all. Here is how to tell the real from the fake before you buy.

Why check the authenticity of a Palm Angels piece?
The gothic 'PALM ANGELS' lettering looks simple to imitate — but copies fall down on screen-print quality, materials and labelling, which is exactly where you need to look.
Lettering and screen prints
On a genuine piece, the gothic lettering is crisp, thick and bright white, with precise outlines that do not crack at the first wash. The letter spacing is constant. Thin, greyish or slightly blurred printing, misshapen letters: a copy.
Inside labels and markings
The Palm Angels neck label is woven, with the size and 'Made in Italy' (or Portugal, depending on the line); the composition labels carry product codes and clean care symbols. Check that the size on the neck label matches the composition label — counterfeiters often get it wrong.
Materials, stripes and finishing
The cottons are heavy (thick T-shirts) and the fleeces dense; on track jackets, the side stripes are sewn (not glued) and even, and the zips are high quality. Clean seams, collars that hold their shape, finished drawcords.
Price and seller: the warning signs
A 'new' Palm Angels tracksuit at a quarter of the retail price is almost certainly a copy. Insist on macro photos of the lettering and photos of the labels.
