Recognising Genuine Moose Knuckles: An Authentication Guide
Like all premium parka brands, Moose Knuckles attracts counterfeiters: its fur-trimmed down jackets and its arm-wrestling logo are copied, sometimes crudely, sometimes better. Here is how to check a piece from the Canadian label.
At NB08, every piece is checked and authenticated in our boutique before it goes on sale. The key checks are set out below.
Why check the authenticity of a Moose Knuckles piece?
Parkas costing several hundred euros, selective distribution: the classic scenario in which 'bargain' copies proliferate online.
The arm-wrestling logo

The metal logo (two moose antlers locked in an arm wrestle) is finely moulded and heavy, with crisp details, and firmly attached to the sleeve or chest. Copies use lightweight logos with soft relief, sometimes simply glued on. It is the first point to examine.
Inside labels and markings
Detailed inside labels (brand, composition, multilingual care instructions) with a product code; crisp printing; consistent sizes across labels. Recent pieces include traceability features (QR code/authenticity label) to check when present.
Fill, fur and zips
Lofty, even down, full and silky hood fur (removable on many models), sturdy, smooth-running two-way zips, firm press studs. Rough fur, flat fill, lightweight zips: a probable counterfeit.
Price and seller: the warning signs
A new Moose Knuckles parka at half price is almost always fake. Insist on macro photos of the metal logo and labels.
